Refund Policy Overview
Lunara's refund policy provides pro-rated refunds for both monthly and yearly subscribers. Cancellation requests are processed within 7 days of submission, and approved refunds are returned to the original payment method within 14 days of cancellation approval. The refund amount is calculated based on the unused portion of the billing period from the date of cancellation approval.
This policy applies to all Lunara subscriptions. All Lunara subscriptions are purchased directly through Lunara's website or in-app payment flow — not through Apple App Store billing or Google Play billing. This policy is governed by the laws of India and applies to subscribers worldwide.
Who Is Eligible for a Refund
A refund may be requested by any active Lunara subscriber who holds a paid monthly or yearly subscription. To be eligible, the subscriber must:
- Have an active subscription at the time of the cancellation request
- Submit the cancellation request through the in-app cancellation form (see Section 10)
- Not be in breach of Lunara's Terms of Service at the time of the request
- Not have a history of repeated refund requests from the same account that constitutes policy abuse
Monthly Plan Refund Terms
How monthly plan refunds work
If you hold a monthly Lunara subscription and submit a cancellation request, the following applies:
- Your cancellation request is received and logged by the Lunara support team.
- The cancellation is reviewed and confirmed within 7 days of receipt.
- The pro-rated refund amount is calculated based on the number of unused days remaining in your current monthly billing period from the date the cancellation is approved.
- The refund is processed and returned to your original payment method within 14 days of cancellation approval.
📅 Monthly plan — refund example
If your monthly billing period runs from the 1st to the 30th of the month, you pay on the 1st, and your cancellation is approved on the 10th: you have 20 unused days remaining. Your refund = (Monthly amount ÷ 30) × 20. The unused days are calculated from the approval date, not the request date.

How yearly plan refunds work
If you hold a yearly Lunara subscription and submit a cancellation request, the following applies:
- Your cancellation request is received and logged by the Lunara support team.
- The cancellation is reviewed and confirmed within 7 days of receipt.
- The pro-rated refund amount is calculated based on the number of unused full months remaining in your annual billing period from the date the cancellation is approved. Partial months that have already started at the time of approval are not included in the refund calculation.
- The refund is processed and returned to your original payment method within 14 days of cancellation approval.
📅 Yearly plan — refund example
If your annual subscription starts on 1 January and your cancellation is approved on 15 April: you have used 3.5 months (January, February, March, and half of April). The partial month of April is not included. Your refund covers the remaining 8 full months: (Annual amount ÷ 12) × 8. Unused days within the partial month already in progress are not refunded.
How the Pro-Rated Amount Is Calculated
The pro-rated refund is calculated using the following method, applied consistently to all eligible requests:

Refund amount = (Total monthly amount paid ÷ Total days in billing period) × Number of unused days remaining from the cancellation approval date.
📐 Yearly subscription formula
Refund amount = (Total annual amount paid ÷ 12) × Number of full unused months remaining from the cancellation approval date. Partial months already in progress at the time of approval are excluded from the calculation.
All refund amounts are calculated in the currency of the original transaction. Any transaction fees charged by the payment processor that are outside Lunara's control are excluded from the refundable amount. Lunara does not control, and cannot refund, third-party transaction fees.

How Lunara Subscriptions Are Purchased
All Lunara subscriptions are sold directly by Lunara Technologies Private Limited through our website at lunara.care/pricing or through the secure in-app purchase flow within the Lunara app. Payments are processed by Lunara's own payment system and are not handled by Apple App Store billing or Google Play billing.
This means all refund and cancellation requests — regardless of which device or platform you use to access Lunara — are handled entirely by the Lunara support team under the terms of this policy. There are no third-party platform intermediaries involved in your subscription billing or refund.
💳 Direct billing — what this means for you
Because Lunara handles all subscription billing directly, your refund request is processed by Lunara without any dependency on Apple or Google. You do not need to contact any third-party platform. Simply raise your cancellation request through the in-app cancellation form (see Section 10) and the Lunara support team will process your refund within the timelines set out in this policy.
What Is Not Refundable
The following are not eligible for refund under Lunara's refund policy. To understand the difference between plans, you can compare Lunara plans on our pricing page.
- Partial months already in use at the time of cancellation approval (applicable to both monthly and yearly plans)
- Annual plan days that have already been consumed within the current partial month at approval date
- Transaction fees, payment processing fees, or currency conversion fees charged by the payment processor outside Lunara's control
- Subscriptions where the Terms of Service have been violated by the subscriber
- Subscriptions subject to repeated refund requests from the same account that constitute policy abuse
- Complimentary, gifted, or promotional subscriptions granted at no charge
Free Trial Refund Policy
Lunara offers a free trial period for Lunara Pro. No payment is taken during the free trial. If you cancel during the free trial period, no charge will be applied to your payment method and no refund is due or applicable.
If the free trial converts to a paid subscription and you subsequently request cancellation, the standard refund policy described in Sections 2–6 of this document applies from the date the paid subscription commenced — not from the trial start date.
How to Request a Refund
How to raise a cancellation request from the app
All cancellation and refund requests are submitted directly through the Lunara app. There is no need to send an email — open the app, navigate to your subscription settings, and complete the cancellation form. Your request is logged instantly and reviewed by the Lunara support team within 7 calendar days.
Open the Lunara app
Log in to your Lunara account on iOS or Android. Make sure you are signed in with the account that holds the active subscription.
Go to Settings → Subscription
Tap the profile icon in the bottom navigation bar, then select Settings. Under the Account section, tap Subscription & Billing.
Tap "Cancel Subscription"
On the subscription details screen, tap the Cancel Subscription button. This opens the cancellation form — your subscription is not cancelled at this point.
Fill in the cancellation form
Complete all required fields in the cancellation form: your registered email address, account name, subscription type (monthly or yearly), and your reason for cancelling. The reason field helps us improve — it is required but kept confidential.
Submit the form
Review the details and tap Submit Cancellation Request. You will receive an on-screen confirmation and an email acknowledgement within 2 business days.
Cancellation confirmed within 7 days
Your request is reviewed and confirmed within 7 calendar days of submission. A confirmation email is sent once approved — your Pro access continues until this point.
Refund calculated and processed
Your pro-rated refund is calculated from the approval date and returned to your original payment method within 14 calendar days. Allow a further 3–10 business days for it to appear in your account.
Note: Cancelling your subscription stops future billing and triggers a refund for unused time — your account and data remain intact. If you wish to permanently delete your account and all associated data, see our account deletion page.

If your refund request is declined, Lunara will communicate the reason by email. Common reasons include evidence of policy abuse, a breach of the Terms of Service, or a repeated refund pattern from the same account. If you believe a decision has been made in error, you may appeal by replying to the decision email with supporting information.
Your Lunara Pro access continues until the end of your current billing period, regardless of when the cancellation is approved. You will not lose access mid-period. Once the billing period ends, your account reverts to the free plan automatically.
